The forthcoming release of the Gremlins x Adidas stan Smith Christmas Monster is adidas Originals‘ latest addition to their series of festive-themed sneakers this year. Just in time for the holiday season, the adidas originals Stan Smith silhouette receives a furry-monster makeover inspired by the 80’s horror Christmas movie Gremlins.

Mogwai, a little evil furry creature who goes by the name Gizmo in the classic film, posses the features of adidas‘ iconic Stan Smith. Official images of the pair exhibit a faux fur upper clad in a grey colorway, including the tongue, while the medial side and rear features a brown hue. The back heel tab is then equipped with a pair of Mogwai’s eyes rather than the traditional adidas Trefoil logo we would see. To complete the design, a white rubber midsole houses the uppers and conceals plenty of cushioning to ensure that you’ll want to step into these shoes not only on Boxing day but also for everyday use.

The Three Stripe brand’s Gremlins x adidas Stan Smith Gizmo, set to arrive on 19th December via select retailers with a retail price of £90 a pop, will come with a set of green insoles and a special box to match the Christmas spirit.
